Summer Scenes’ Photographer:
The man behind the camera is award-winning radio and television presenter Andrew Martin. “Marto” has been in the media for 30 years, having started out in Community Radio, completed a diploma at the Australian Film, Radio and Television School and progressed into key on-air roles at many top rating Sydney stations including Nova, 2GB and 2UE. Andrew can now be heard (and seen) on Sky Racing.
Andrew also has a lifetime passion for photography, after being shown the ropes by his father at a very young age, back in the darkroom era. He's since compiled magnificent portfolios from around the world, but his favourite canvas’ are the beautiful Sydney coastline and the holiday hotspot Greece.
Summer Scenes is Andrew's latest collection, capturing life in Sydney and Greece, both in and out of the water.

BONDI
Ask any professional photographer - and they’ll tell you their favourite beach to capture - is Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. It’s natural beauty has made it one of the most famous beaches in the world.
At Sunrise, the beach is alive with early morning surfers and fitness fanatics, before the beachgoers arrive in their thousands to soak up the summer sun.
At the South end - there’s the world famous Bondi Icebergs (which is a fantastic spot to catch a Sunrise) and down the North end you’ll find families galore in and around the Children’s Pool. Sandwiched in between - people from all walks of life lazing in the sun and swimming in the famous waters.
Bondi is truly an Aussie gem!
NORTHERN BEACHES:
The Northern Beaches of Sydney include 16 major beaches stretching from Manly all the way up to the magnificent Palm Beach. The people are friendly - the geography is breathtaking - and the beaches and coves are nothing short of sensational!
Our Gallery includes photos from beautiful Freshwater Beach; Balmoral, with it’s very own little island; Narrabeen, where the North Narrabeen Rockpool is a photography hotspot (pictured); the hidden beach gem of Turrimetta and the incredible beauty of Palm Beach, the set for the Australian soapie “Home and Away”.
The Northern Beaches are also a Sydney favourite for lovers of the great outdoors, with great surfing and loads of scenic cycling paths and walking tracks.
SOUTHERN BEACHES:
Crawling down the coast from Bondi - the popular Southern Beaches of Sydney are some of the most uniquely beautiful in the world.
Some of the popular summer hangouts include Tamarama Beach, with it’s narrow but deep sandy shore; Bronte, with it’s beautiful rock pool (pictured) and popular ocean lap pool; Clovelly, with it’s concrete surrounds and placid bay; Coogee, a backpackers favourite with it’s long sandy stretches, calm waters and it’s popular sprinkling of public pools and baths and Maroubra, a famous surf beach which comes complete with the scenic Mahon Pool..

SYDNEY HARBOUR:
It’s little wonder Sydney Harbour is considered the most beautiful of it’s kind in the world! It’s the amazing centrepiece of a wonderful city and there’s plenty to explore away from the obvious.
Along it’s foreshore, there’s countless little unpatrolled beaches and a host of popular netted swimming spots like Neilson Park and Murray Rose Pool (pictured). Come Summertime - these spots are teeming with savvy locals looking to escape the stresses of City life!!
On land, don’t forget the iconic Luna Park, which is right on the harbour foreshore almost directly under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. and diagonally opposite the Sydney Opera House.
Sydney Harbour is an awesome canvas for photographers of all levels!
LORD HOWE ISLAND:
Lord Howe Island is just a 2 hour flight from Sydney and boasts world heritage listing. Only 400 people are allowed on the island at any one time and visitor’s instantly fall in love with it’s beauty.
Lord Howe stretches around 10 kilometres in length through the Tasman Sea and boasts beautiful twin peaks in Mount Gower and Mount Lidgbird at it’s Southern end.
There’s a host of completely unspoilt beaches, including Blinky Beach, a surfer’s paradise at the foot of Gower and Lidgbird and Ned’s Beach, which is famous for it’s hungry fish that are hand fed by tourists every day.
It;s little wonder Lord Howe Island is dubbed “Pure Paradise”
GREECE:
It’s no secret that Greece is one of Europe’s most popular Summer holiday destinations. Millions flock to it’s many islands over the Summer months - to laze on some of the most amazing beaches in the world.
Summer Scenes’ photographic collection includes snaps from Santorini, the spectacular volcanic island famous for it’s steep cliffs, amazing views and stunning sunsets; Mykonos, a party island for some and a historic journey for others; Crete, the largest of the Greek Islands, known for it’s vast variety of terrain; Zakynthos, home of the world famous Navajo Beach; Lefkada, attached to mainland Greece by a causeway and featuring magnificent beaches like Porto Katsiki (pictured) and Kythira, with it’s natural beauty and laid back atmosphere.
The Greek Islands are varied in their beauty and are great fun to photograph!
SUNRISES AND SUNSETS:
Sydney boasts some fantastic Sunrise and Sunset spots and there’s always plenty of cameras clicking wherever you go on a beautiful morning or a balmy evening.
Our Sunrises and Sunsets Gallery takes in some of the most beautiful spots both North and South of the harbour, including Narrabeen, Bondi, Bronte, and Maroubra.
For newcomers to Sydney, our favourite Sunrise spot is just near Icebergs at Bondi Beach and our favourite Sunset spot is near the little jetty at Camp Cove, just past Watson’s Bay.
BOARDS AND BATHERS:
Sitting in the sun and watching surfers slice through the water is one of the most relaxing things you can do! Adding a camera only adds to the magic and Boards and Bathers contains our favourite action photos from beaches up and down the Sydney coastline.
Our Gallery includes our best selling Glass Print “Aqua Paddle”, which was shot from the cliff-tops at Freshwater Beach on The Northern Beaches and looks absolutely amazing on any wall it’s hung!
